The EAUC conference will be taking place at Holywell Park Conference centre which is a purpose built Conference centre. Located on Loughborough University's campus in the East Midlands, Holywell Park Conference Centre is easily accessible by road, rail and air. Holywell Park has large flexible spaces for a range of capacities for delegates.

TRAIN STRIKE INFORMATION

As you are aware there is due to be a train strike taking place on Monday 7th and Wednesday 9th November; should you find it difficult to get to the conference by train and are thinking of driving to the event, we really encourage you to put your journey onto Liftshare and see if it’s possible to car share with someone else.  Liftshare is a free service for individuals.

Parking

There is ample free parking available outside the conference venue, at Burleigh Court Hotel and at the Link Hotel.  Directions:  from Junction 23 of the M1, taking the A512 Ashby Road to Loughborough

Holywell Park
Use the postcode LE11 3GR. At the first roundabout, turn right into Holywell Way (signposted for Burleigh Court and Holywell Park). Once you've got your visitor badge from the gatehouse, go straight on at the next two roundabouts and enter the Holywell Park car park

Parking at Burleigh Court Hotel

Follow directions above but once you've got your visitor badge from the gatehouse, turn left at the roundabout, passing the STEM Lab building on your right hand side. Take the next right which is sign posted to Burleigh Court and proceed to our car park barrier.

 

Parking at the Link Hotel

Continue on the A512 past the BP garage on your right, going through the two sets of traffic lights. Take the next left turn onto the slip road to reach The Link Hotel entrance (shared entry with Harvester Pub).  Sat Nav:  LE11 4EX

By Bike

The campus provides a number of secure bike racks dotted around campus. For a full list of bike rack locations, visit the campus map here and go to ‘Transport and Parking’.

  • 18 minutes to bike ride to the train station

By Bus

You can get the Sprint Kinchbus Service from the East Midlands train station to Holywell Park campus. In term time this service runs every 10 minutes Monday – Saturday. View the timetable and fairs here

By Train

Holywell Park Conference Centre is just three miles from Loughborough railway station, only a 10 minute cab ride away or 20 minutes on a shuttle bus.

Travelling from Loughborough railway station to the conference venue

The centre is within easy reach of Loughborough railway station. The university shuttle bus service Kinchbus Number 7 runs every 10 minutes from the station with a stop located directly next to Holywell Park.

Taxis are available from the station with a journey costing around £8.

Loughborough railway station

Loughborough railway station has an hourly service to London St. Pancras and regular services to other major UK cities including Birmingham, Sheffield and Leeds.

You can buy a combined train and bus ticket which incorporates the bus journey to and from the railway station. Just select Loughborough University Bus (XLO) when booking on websites such as East Midlands Trains and The Trainline.
